Brokeback Bunnies

http://www.starz.com/features/brokebackmountain/

You have to watch this........

Quote of the day:

"It's ok to be gay, as long as your not a faggot about it" - unknown

Hilarious.

Mandisa

There's lots of chatter going on today about Mandisa's possible affiliation with Beth Moore. She's the founder of Living Proof Ministries, "teaching women how to live and love on God's word"... you get the drift. Aside from many alluding to Beth's heavy involvement with help gays to, well not be gay, does anyone else see the irony here? I went to Mandisa's website, which supposedly links to Beth Moore's site, among others www.mandisaministries.com (please gag me) and it has been temporarily shut down. Duh!

I mean, let's think about this, two camps voting for Mandisa every week (and let's do give her props, gurl can siiiiing). The devoutly religious Christian right, and the gays. Sure hope she don't go pissin' off the gays! Who else love them some big girl like we gays? We'll take you out with us and not say anything when you eat that big plate o' fries.

Supposedly there was a "deeper meaning" to the Mary Mary song "Shackles", and that it had religious meaning to the ability of a woman to break through the crap and live under god's word. Please tell me that there weren't a million gay boys out there thrilled to death that she sang a big ol' circuit song! Wow, she might just be the most duplicitous candidate we've seen in idol history. I might venture to say she's damn smart about it all...... It's really a shame if it's all true, because you KNOW there's about 50 gay dj's out there aching for some Mandisa vocals about now.

Being Bobby...

If you haven't watched this show yet, you just have to. No really.. you HAVE to. If ever there existed a reality series, or TV show period for that matter, that could make you feel entirely better about your own crazy world, it would have to be this one. I'm personally torn, because this woman is and forever will be classified as the ultimate diva. I came out in the mid-90's where you couldn't get through an hour in a gay club without one of her songs coming on.

I guess she still has some star power... You can no longer walk through Sidetrack anymore without hearing some queen shouting "hell to the no!" Whitney, your gay power lives on.

Anyhow, catch the re-runs on Bravo and catch up.

Holding Hands....

I was on my way to the gym the other night, which happens to be the gayest gym in Chicago, smack dab on Halsted in Boystown (remember when that term used to be derogatory.. but that's another story) and there are two guys walking down the street holding hands. My question, and I don't mean to sound like im stereotyping, is why oh why must it always been the most tragic looking couple in the city that chooses to show the world their pride? Not that my boyfriend and I are locking hands and strutting down the street, but is it really necessary? This particular couple were both sporting matching blonde tips, one in a tank top, the other in a sleeveless t-shirt that sported the phrase "dump her". That's classy.

It begins....

Well after months of reading everyone else's, I've decided to start my own. God grant me the strength to keep up with it! Hope you appreciate the random thoughts....
